Teenage piano sensation Lauren Zhang came to prominence when she wowed a full-house audience at the Final of BBC Young Musician of the Year in 2018 with her bold and triumphant interpretation of Prokofiev’s Second Piano Concerto accompanied by the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra conducted by Mark Wigglesworth. Following her success in this competition, Lauren has been invited to perform at the BBC Proms alongside the BBC Concert Orchestra, Proms in the Park with the BBC National Orchestra of Wales and remains in demand as soloist throughout the UK and further afield.

In 2018, Lauren Zhang won the BBC Young Musician Competition in her hometown of BIrmingham. Her performance of Prokofiev’s Second Piano Concerto with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra conducted by Mark Wigglesworth was broadcast live on BBC4 and BBC Radio 3 to widespread critical acclaim. Following her success in the competition, Lauren has been invited to perform at the BBC Proms with the BBC Concert Orchestra, Proms in the Park with the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, and is in demand as soloist throughout the UK and further afield. Future highlights include concerto performances with London Mozart Players, the European Union Chamber Orchestra and Brno Philharmonic. She gives recitals at Nottingham Royal Concert Hall, the Herkulessaal in Munich, and as part of the Ryedale, Wooburn and Lichfield Festivals, among many others.

  • Snacks and drinks (included in ticket price) will be served during the interval.

Bookings are not refundable

Tickets are transferable to others. This means that you may give away or sell your tickets to someone else. Tickets are not transferable to another recital or another date.

All ticket sales are final and non-refundable. This means that we cannot return your payment if you are unable to attend an event. Your payment will be refunded in full if we have to cancel a recital.  Donations are non-refundable.

Help with ticket transfers 

If you are unable to attend a recital that you have booked and paid for, we may be able to help you transfer your tickets to another member. If we successfully transfer your ticket to another member, an administrative charge equal to 30% of the ticket price will be payable.
