Symphonic Beauty

Regarded as one of Britain’s most respected pianists, Danny Driver is internationally recognised for his sophistication, refinement and musical depth. He has a uniquely vibrant approach to programming and his breadth of repertoire is reflected in highly acclaimed recordings on the Hyperion label. The centrepiece of the evening’s programme will be Schumann’s Etudes Symphoniques, the highly virtuosic work of the utmost beauty in Romantic literature with a wealth and complexity of colours. A short set of Ligeti’s Etudes is also included to commemorate the composer’s 100th birthday year.
