Pianist Elisabeth Brauß first came to my attention when she became a BBC Radio 3 New Generation artist in 2018. Since then she continues to appear regularly with her solo, concerto and chamber music engagements across the UK, particularly at Wigmore Hall where she is a frequent visiting performer. In 2021 she made her debut at the BBC Proms and is quickly establishing herself as one of the most exciting and versatile musicians of her generation. Whether fiendishly virtuosic or whisperingly subtle passages, Elisabeth has a sincere and unfazed approach to the keyboard, as if conveying the message directly, which appeals to the audience. Her programme is themed around good-byes; coincidentally, this will be our last recital of 2024!
