Pianist Yevgeny Sudbin, who is known for his phenomenal pianism and has been hailed as ‘potentially one of the greatest pianists in the 21st century’, is returning to Breinton for the second time! On top of being a phenomenal performer on stage, he is an outstanding recording artist (as as exclusive recording artist for the BIS label), and his albums have garnered widespread critical acclaim with many reviewers recognising his distinctive approach to both well-known masterpieces and lesser-known gems. In this programme featuring Bach, Liszt, Prokofiev, and his own arrangements of Bach and Prokofiev, he extends his musical boundaries to share dramatic outbursts, vibrant colours, emotional surges and eternal stillness in his own very distinctive approach.
