Rhia Thomas, 18, is a sixth form student and music scholar at Guildford High School. She started playing violin at the age of 4, having heard her brother play amazing pieces that she wanted to play too! Rhia continues to study the violin with her inspirational teacher, Lucy Ellen Spencer. 

Rhia has been a regular competitor at local festivals and has been awarded prizes at the Woking and Godalming Music Festivals.  As a member of the National Youth Orchestra and the Chineke! Junior Orchestra she has performed at prestigious venues across the United Kingdom including the Royal Albert Hall for the BBC Proms.

In addition to music, Rhia continues to train in Shotokan Karate in which she holds a blackbelt and is hoping to read Economics at university.
