Megan Clarke

Morwenna Rees is 16 years old and is a music scholar in the Lower Sixth at St. Catherine’s, Bramley. She started playing saxophone aged seven and is currently studying at the Junior Guildhall School of Music and is taught by Josie Simmons, having previously been a pupil of Chloe Potter. She also partakes in composition workshops at Guildhall.

Morwenna enjoys both classical and jazz genres and was a member of Surrey County Youth Jazz Orchestra for a number of years. A highlight of 2024 was being invited to play with the Band of the Welsh Guards on St. David’s Day at the Royal Military Chapel.

Away from saxophone, Morwenna has studied voice since age 8 and is a former chorister with Guildford Cathedral Choir, singing in various cathedrals and churches across the UK and internationally, with performances broadcast both on television and radio. Her love of singing is now focused on musical theatre and she also enjoys the technical side of theatre, specializing in sound production.
